About the Winnipeg Library Foundation
Now that the Millennium Library is
open, the Foundation is asking
"what's next?" Planning is
presently underway to establish
endowment funds and work on
additional projects, like the
recently-announced Library Park
that has already received support
from the Federal and Provincial
governments.
Into the future, the Foundation will
continue its visionary leadership, working with all library
supporters to help the Winnipeg Public Library become one of
the premiere public libraries in Canada.
Libraries enhance literacy,
provide access to technology,
and make our communities
better places to live. Putting
together all of those resources
means that the end result - our
Library - is bigger and stronger
than if we simply relied on
public resources.
